Soundboards

A soundboard is a useful tool for making prank calls. Conventionally, the device was created in the multimedia software Adobe Flash. It stores, files, indexes and plays short audio clips and sound bites, usually containing sound clips of celebrities’ quotes from movies. Using soundboards for pranking has become a new age trend.

The receiver of the call is confronted with random sayings created by the celebrity sound clips. Some may recognise the crank through famous quotes whilst others continue to respond whilst becoming increasingly antagonized and frustrated.

Examples of celebrity soundboard creations include Arnold Schwarzenegger, Napoleon Dynamite, Jerry Seinfeld, Al Pacino, Jack Nicholson, Peter Griffin and much more. For instance his statement “I want to ask you a bunch of question and I want to have them answered immediately”…and subsequent question..”who is your daddy and what does he do?” works a charm.

Other than comedian, movie and celebrity prank call voices, there are countless other audio clips and sound effects available. The range varies from cartoon fart sounds to sirens, alarms, laughing noises and background effects such as thunder storms.
